An oldie, but oh-so-goodie suspense thriller., July 24 2010

This review is from: The Angel of Terror (Classic Reprint) (Paperback)
Looks can be deceiving and are in this wonderful suspenseful murder mystery! A young woman whose beauty is comparable to the beauty of angels is such a manipulative, homicidal, psychotic narcissistic (sp) genius and murderer. She is absolutely cold blooded and cold hearted and creates friendships and relationships in order to realize her goals of prestige and wealth.
This book is VERY well written and absolutely timeless; I thought that it was written fairly recently then found that it was first published in 1922!!! I could hardly put it down. I ordered it for my Kindle and realized to share it I needed to purchase the paperback; my mother can hardly wait to read it---I'm sure my father will read it too when she finishes. We have a reading circle consisting of family in two states and we send books around all the time. My Kindle does not leave my side; I may read this book again, in the meantime family can read the paperback version.
Highly recommended to anyone who is a serious mystery fan.

Keeps you Intersted, Oct 14 2010

I found this story very enjoyable to read. The plot keeps the reader turning pages to see what will happen next and of course, the author works the characters to make the reader angry at some, frustrated at others. It keeps you going. For a free book I would recommend it to anyone.

A likeable, cold blooded killer., Feb 22 2011

I really enjoyed the 'villaness' off this book, since she was a refreshing change to the usual butter-wouldn't-melt-in-their-mouth female characters typically featured in works of this period.
