In The Answer is You, Michael Beckwith seeks to direct our attention to the primary factor in any meaningful change in our lives. It is not external, it is rather internal , through connection with the Eternal. He makes it clear that it all starts within us, in our thoughts, our attitudes, and our expectations. He speaks convincingly of the limitations we impose upon ourselves through focusing on the negativity we adopt from the world around us. He points out that so much of what we hear is of a self-limiting nature, and it is our individual responsibility to find our true self or best self which is only discovered by accessing a higher consciousness of the Divine. The personal interview that follows his presentation allows us to hear the man himself explain his personal experiences which finally brought him into the spiritual realities he now understands so well. Some of his experiences may be a bit far out for some people to identify with, especially his "out of body" experiences. He also shares his concepts of Affirmations, Prayer, and Meditation, which are quite informative to the serious seeker in spiritual matters. To better understand Michael Beckwith and his spiritual journey, this is a must hear audio CD. Thurman L Faison, Author, "To The Spiritually Inclined"

This is one of the best inspirational cd's I've had the pleasure of listening to. Every time I play it something new resonates. Truly awakening!

Extreme Inspiration March 23 2011

I really like Michael Bernard Beckwith's "The Answer is YOU." Beckwith does a terrific job of changing your way of thinking in a way that makes sense with a bit of humor and music mixed in. His message is uplifting, simple, positive, and makes a lot of sense.

I've read several self-help books and listened to a few self-help CD's that make getting more out of my life such a heavy duty chore it's not worth the effort or a pretty empty message hidden within a lot of mumbo jumbo you wish you would have taken the money you spent on the book and spent it on an unreliable and cheap fortune teller down by the docks instead. The fortune teller may not tell you anything worthwhile about how to make your life better but at least you'd be entertained.

I say these CD's are inspirational, rather than motivational, because I now feel as if what I dream of doing is entirely possible. There is no reason why I can't accomplish my ideal life. Even looking at the bad that's happened in my life now has a positive slant on the impact it's had on my life. Making simple changes in what I say to people really does affect how they react to my words and how my view of what is possible begins to change.

No rah, rah, come on, you can do it, go get em tiger motivational poster nonsense here. No making charts, emptying out your junk drawer, and throwing out your beloved go-go boots to move on in your life. Just common sense, inspiration that lets you know you can live a better life. All you need is the realization that the deep dark secret to living that better life is you.

Yep, the answer really is you. Or in my case, me.

Perfect Done Perfect Feb. 24 2011

I was excited to get this CD package as I have been a long-time Science of Mind practitioner. Although Agape is no longer apart of SOM, I have been to the church and I am drawn to Dr, Beckwith and his work in helping people live their best life and reach their fullest potential.

The package includes a complete audio program and a bonus CD of a one-on-one Q&A and I have to say its quite good. For those of you familiar with Agape you know there is music as part of the program with Rickie Byars Beckwith and the likes of Will.i.AM from Black Eyes Peas fame.

The CD gets right to the point and starts the profound questions about life and how to live the best life possible. But instead of rambling on about do this and do that, Beckwith gives personal anecdotes and solutions on how to tackle lifes most profound problems. For example he spends considerable time on how every delay for something we have wished for is not a denial but merely means there is something more we need to grow from to help us on our next evolution and once we reach that level of consciousness and start expressing it, things will change.

CD number 2 is more comprehensive on-on-one which tackles everything from how do you know life is good, to healings, inner work, money, meditaton, forgiveness, and gratitude.

If your new to this then Id say this CD is a good start, but be sure to read his other books or those by Ernest Holmes and other New Thought philosophers. If you've heard some of it b4 Im sure you can still benefit from Perfection makes Perfect and listen to things with a brand new ears and perspective, as like me you might "get" or become more aware of something than before.

This one is a keeper. Enjoy.

Motivational - but not much depth July 20 2011

This recording consists of a single service given at the Reverend Michael Beckwith's Agape Church. It's recorded live and interjected with "hymns" sung by his wife and others.

It's very motivational - it will put you in a positive attitude. It's really about giving you hope - telling you all about the good stuff you're destined for. However, there is literally no actionable advice on this recording. That's where it falls short for me.

Beckwith is famous for being one of the teachers on "The Secret". He's extremely charismatic, and that comes through in this recording.

Inspiring! April 7 2011

This is the audio CD from a show that Michael Bernard Beckwith did on PBS. It's a wonderful hour, and in some ways is similar to the Sunday service at Agape International.

The focus of the lecture is how we can step into the universal flow and express our highest self. How can we find peace when there is turmoil around us? How can we find abundance when there is so much scarcity? Mr. Beckwith gives us practices to use and some humorous and powerful ways to stop staying stuck in a negative mindset.

The CD includes some wonderful musical numbers by Mrs. Beckwith, guest stars, and the Agape International Choir. The music is very uplifting and inspiring as well.

The second bonus CD is an interview of Mr. Beckwith by Tami Simon of Sounds True. I really loved this interview and plan to listen to it again, and again. Ms. Simon asked some great question about prayer, meditation and forgiveness, and the answers by Mr. Beckwith were very profound. This is a one hour interview and was just wonderful.

All around a great and inspiring CD. Highly recommended!

Celebrating Life in the Now March 31 2011

"The Answer is You" is an excellent 2 CD set, full of reminders for those of us on the spiritual path, with a few revelatory moments as well. Michael Bernard Beckwith has a way of describing those reminders in a way that we'll never forget them, with "keys" like his "Worry-Free Diet," which starts with "Not-so Ball Soup" and ends with "Receptivi-Tea," and teaching how "we can flourish" despite our background. Disc 1 is his "As Seen on Public Television" special, and it's informative, highly entertaining, and is interspersed with some music. Total time is 52:30

Disc 2 is my favorite, and is in an interview format with Tami Simon asking the pertinent questions. Beckwith gets into the nitty gritty on this disc, about forgiveness, our participation in creating our lives (this was an "aha" moment for me, as I hadn't thought of it as being evolutionary before), and with an excellent meditation segment, where he reminds us that we can sit for 20 minutes and only get 2 minutes of being with the source, but that 2 minutes is worth it! Disc 2 total time is 78:37

It's all about progressing towards the light. As Beckwith says, "Hell is stagnation. Heaven is expansion, going from completeness to completeness," and how asking "How can I grow?" is the mature question.
"How can I grow?
What can I give?
What can I celebrate?"
