Rumpole Misbehaves,

This review is from: Rumpole Misbehaves (Audio CD)
This is a great audio book. As usual the storyline is wonderful and I would highly recommend this to anyone who enjoyes the Rumpole stories. As much as I would love to see Rumpole get his silks the twists in the story are highly typical of the man.

This review is from: Rumpole Misbehaves (Audio CD)
"Who executes justice for the oppressed,Who gives food to the hungry. The LORD gives freedom to the prisoners." -- Psalm 146:7 (NKJV) Rumpole rides to the rescue as Anti-Social Behavior Orders (ABSOs) threaten to infringe liberty and justice. In an unusually witty attack on this program, Rumpole finds himself the target of a request for such an order as well as a football player whose ball occasionally strays onto the wrong street. In his unusual unflappable manner, Rumpole gets to the bottom of matters . . . once again revealing that those who seek to put others down have a lot to hide. This story is also enlivened by Rumpole's judicial nemesis attempting to make hay with Hilda by turning Rumpole into a QC. As in the best of the Rumpole stories, the plot is primarily an excuse for social satire . . . and John Mortimer scores major bull's eyes in this fine tale. I enjoyed Bill Wallis's reading.
