Product Description

The Anubis Oracle is a visionary immersion into the experience of Egyptian wisdom and points us toward the living and timeless mysteries of Christ Consciousness. The reappearance of Anubis as the guide through the darkness of today’s world is something we have all been waiting for and can help us return to our hearts, in peace.” (Padma Aon Prakasha, author of THE CHRIST BLUEPRINT)

" . . . anyone with an interest in the Gods and Goddesses of Egypt will probably feel an extra special draw . . .  (The Pagan Review, Jan 2009)

"What's really fun and interesting about this deck is that it is based on the mysteries and knowledge of Egypt, so if one is not familiar with these, this is a chance to learn something new." (Krysta Gibson, New Spirit Journal, Vol. 4 No. 10, Jan 2009)

"As a big fan of Nicki Scully's books on journeying with animal spirits, I eargerly embraced this deck, created with her clairvoyant colleague in shamanism, Linda Star Wolf, and artist Kris Walkherr. Its are has all the soft, open color and popular appeal we've come to expect from Walkherr, known especially for her Goddess Tarot. This is a lovable oracle." (Eva Yaa Asantewaa, reviewer)

"A lush journey into the mysteries of ancient Egypt, this deck takes the reader on a quest of self-knowledge. The advanced user will enjoy the rich imagery and the depth of care and understanding utilized to create each fully realized aspect of the deck, while the beginner can use the images to advance her own understanding of greater mysteries." (New Age Retailer, Spring 2009)

“Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf are modern mystics who have gifted us with access to the deities of ancient Egypt whose archetypal force is expressed through this Anubis Oracle and card deck. As one who walks the shaman’s path and who is also loved by the neteru, I recommend it most highly.” (Hank Wesselman, author of the Spiritwalker trilogy and THE JOURNEY TO THE SACRED GARDEN)

“Experiencing the archetypes of the alternate reality is a way to become a fully realized human being. The alternate reality is a parallel world filled with wise spirits, in this case the Egyptian neteru. They love us and long for us to seek their knowledge and are deeply involved in our lives whether we know it or not. The Anubis Oracle offers many easy and fun ways to play with the spirits so they can gently guide you to greater wisdom. The spreads created by the authors open uncanny doors into the alternate reality, the mysterious world of the neteru. This is a critical tool for all students of divination, a significant exploration of the pre-tarot divination tradition.” (Barbara Hand Clow, author of THE MAYAN CODE: TIME ACCELERATION AND AWAKENING THE WORLD MIND)

“In this remarkable text and its accompanying deck, the authors and illustrator have given us keys that can unlock the mysteries of consciousness. They offer us a luminous understanding of the great archetypal principles that formed and informed ancient Egypt and that are part of the organizing patterns of the cosmos.” (Jean Houston, author of The Passion of Isis and Osiris)

“A work rich in tarot resonances--cosmological, psychological, spiritual, emotional, and symbolic--focused directly on the sacred science of Egypt where tarot almost certainly has its roots. In a sense, The Anubis Oracle is more original than the original. An intriguing and convincing concept.” (John Anthony West, author of Serpent in the Sky)

“The in-depth concepts and provocative images embedded within The Anubis Oracle will touch the hearts and souls of all those who earnestly engage it. Meditate upon these unveiled mysteries and benefit.” (Leonard D. Orr, author of BREAKING THE DEATH HABIT: THE SCIENCE OF EVERLASTING LIFE)

“An enchanting way for you to enter the realm of the Egyptian neteru and the archetypes of nature. With Anubis as your pathfinder and these cards as your map, you will chart the course of your own creation. Let The Anubis Oracle guide you to an awareness of the interdependency of all creation through the accumulated wisdom of the ages.” (Mary K. Greer, author of MARY K. GREER’S 21 WAYS TO READ A TAROT CARD)

“With The Anubis Oracle we have been given eons of ancient wisdom unfolding through the bodies of the divine.” (Normandi Ellis, author of AWAKENING OSIRIS: THE EGYPTIAN BOOK OF THE DEAD)

“If you resonate as I do with the pantheon of the ancient Nile valley, then the beautifully rendered images of this innovative oracle will surely speak to you and avail you inner guidance and meaning from the archetypal world.” (Jeremiah Abrams, coeditor of MEETING THE SHADOW: THE HIDDEN POWER OF THE DARK SIDE OF HUMAN NATURE)

“This oracle pack provides an excellent introduction to the timeless practice of self-initiation through the empowered image. The gemstone-colored emblems seem to be drawn directly from the dreamtime of the immortals. Meditation with the text accompanying the cards opens doorways to deep communication with the neteru, initiating the reader into a realm of higher awareness and spiritual vision.” (Christine Payne-Towler, author of THE UNDERGROUND STREAM: ESOTERIC TAROT REVEALED)

“This book and its imagery is a gift to our limited ego. I applaud the authors for giving us a way to seek answers to our deeper questions.” (Brenda Schaeffer, author of IS IT LOVE OR IS IT ADDICTION?)

The Anubis Oracle is a significant tool for the modern shaman that taps in to ancient and current wisdom, guidance, and insights.” (Baba Dez Nichols, coauthor of SACRED SEXUAL HEALING: THE SHAMAN METHOD OF SEX MAGIC)

HASH(0xa2e48cc0) out of 5 stars Compelling & Relevant!!! Oct. 22 2008
By Richard K. - Published on
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
I have eagerly awaited this treasure to arrive and am not disappointed. I have been searching for this "Egyptian vibe" since 1986 with Murry Hope's Cartouche cards. Various tarot decks tried to capture the magic, yet fall short. Then came the "holy grail" of Egyptian divination-Athon Veggi's "Book of Doors" in 1996. The artwork and colors were a little disappointing, however. The Anubis Oracle fulfills all hopes.

Egyptian Magic is lost in the sands of time. Yet, some writings have been translated and the images endure. Its true, this is reconstruction mysticism with a "new age" slant. It is the Egypt I have always imagined. Indeed, it lasted 5000+ years. Most of these images survived and are just as universal today! This may be the closest thing to the origins of the tarot there is. A historic achievement, indeed.

The colors are bright and warm. Children can easily connect with the cards. The archetypes are potent and soothing. Perhaps this deck will open the doorway for a new generation to spend hours in the Egyptian wing at their local museum. Educational and empowering!

HASH(0xa2e48f0c) out of 5 stars Egyptian mythology meets the Major Arcana. July 30 2010
By Neko-san - Published on
Format: Paperback
Nicki Scully and Linda Star Wolf draw inspiration on the Egyptian Mythology to create a 35 cards oracle, nicely illustrated by Kris Waldherr. It consists of one Significator card, 22 God cards, 4 Elemental cards, and 8 Special cards.

The cards in this oracle are difficult to handle due to their size, bigger than the standard sized tarot. They are bordered blue, numbered and named in white at the top with key words in white at the bottom, descriptive of each card.

Cards 0 to 21 relate very closely to the 22 cards of the Major Arcana in Tarot as follow:

0. The Dove - 0. The Fool
1. Nekbet-Mother-Mut - I. The Magician
2. Nephthys - II. The High Priestess
3. Isis - III. The Empress
4. Khnum - IV. The Emperor
5. Sphinx - V. The Hierophant
6. Sobek & Horus - VI. The Lovers
7. Sekhmet - VII The Chariot
8. Ma'at - VIII. Strength
9. Thoth - IX. The Hermit
10. Khepera - X. Wheel of Fortune
11. Bast - XI. Justice
12. Anubis - XII. The Hanged Man
13. Osiris - XIII. Death
14. Hathor - XIV. Temperance
15. Set - XV. The Devil
16. Wadjet - XVI. The Tower
17. Sothis - XVII. The Star
18. Khonsu - XVIII. The Moon
19. Amun-Ra - XIX. The Sun
20. Ptah - XX. Judgment
21. Nut and Geb - XXI. The World

Cards 22 to 25 relate to the four elements (fire, air, water and earth) representative on the suits of the Minor Arcana in Tarot. Cards I to VIII, labeled in roman numerals, are special combinations of the "Major Arcana".

Waldherr's Egyptian imagery is stunning in this deck, which make me feel slightly disappointed that the creators of this deck didn't go for a full 78 cards tarot deck, and instead the opted to create an "oracle" version. Still, this is an interesting deck which combines the Major Arcana from tarot with Egyptian mythology.

HASH(0xa2e49168) out of 5 stars Beautifully done April 17 2009

I was excited to get this oracle since I have the book it's based on, The Shamanic Mysteries of Egypt, and I love that book. I was not disappointed with this, and I really do feel there is an energy and depth that imbues this that makes it an amazing tool to work with. I've only done a few readings with it for others, but each of those have been extremely powerful.

HASH(0xa2e491e0) out of 5 stars Great Way To Learn About Egyptian Deities! Jan. 16 2011

A very inspiring oracle especially if Egypt is close to your heart! Anubis shows you many things about yourself and Nicki and Linda have done a fine job on bringing this shamanic wisdom to life. I love this oracle deck and book because it is positive yet realistic and is not overwhelming for the beginner and is also a treasure for the seasoned seeker! May I also recommend Nicki's "Becoming An Oracle" audio book for an adventure of a lifetime! If living in this current culture has dulled your imagination, both of these works will absolutely spark it up again! Bravo Nicki and Linda! Isis is proud of you both!
