Excellent,
By Pearce (Canada) - See all my reviews
This review is from: The Anxiety Cure (Paperback)
This book really helped me to understand so much about anxiety. Especially how stress contributes to anxiety and panic, and how I can halt anxiety and panic before it grips me. Dr. Hart does a great job in all regards. I really like how he believes anxiety medications may be necessary but they won't heal you of anxiety. You must heal yourself, if required then use medications as they will help. As you modify your stress/anxiety causing behavior you will need less and less medications. I am living proof. Dr. Hart's principles are sound even if he presents things with a bit of a Christian aspect. I am by no means religious yet understand his concepts. They work for me.

The Anxiety Cure,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Anxiety Cure (Paperback)
I found this book to provide excellent advice. I have implemented many of Dr. Hart's suggestions. Although Dr. Hart does not condemn the use of medications, he makes it clear that medication is a short term step and that long term life style adjustments are needed to live an anxiety free life. Because of the help I obtained from reading this book, I have made it through the worst of my anxeity without the use of medication.

Too many contradictions and absolutes:,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Anxiety Cure (Paperback)
I bought this book based on the back cover which reads: "...Then he offers practical proven steps you can take to change your lifestyle, without relying on medication and psychotherapy." I found as I was reading the book, however, that Dr. Hart is a huge proponent of the use of medications. There are also many absolutes in the book. He claims that if you don't do certain things or let certain things go too long, you may never get rid of anxiety or worry. This book is definitely not for everyone.
