5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and entertaining read. April 8 2012
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
I bough this book for a young adult (turning 18). I dont know if it was a hit with the teen (yet), but I had a browse through the book before I packaged it and found it entertaining and well written. The book has lots of interesting articles; the How to be a Hero section was especially interesting. The chapters are well organized, the illustrations add a nice touch to the character of the book and the book offers some great advice (for young and old). Especially appreciated is the focus on being respectful but prepared and knowledgeable (not on old-timey outdated ideals).

My husband had a quick read and loved it as well. He will be buying a copy for himself shortly.

Also, Amazon delivered the book one week (!) ahead of the earliest estimated delivery schedule. I'm always pleased with the speediness of Amazon deliveries.

This is a great book to give any young man - it covers everything you can think of. Plenty of lighthearted humour mixed with a good dose of c'mon sense on how to be a masculine, responsible man.

4.0 out of 5 stars amusing April 28 2011
An amusing book with some good advices, and some slightly less. Parts like "landing a plane" or "fighting like a gent" are hilariously useless, while others like how to shave properly and raise some good kids could be useful. Overall a good read and if T. Roosevelt is ever your inspiration, some advices can make a real man out of just about anybody.
