4.0 out of 5 stars Classic tales in Classic Comic Form Feb 11 2006
By Jim Gardner - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Somewhere out there, a reader is looking at this listing and saying, "What is this? I've never heard of a book by Bradbury called 'The Autumn People!'"
Gotcha! This is a mass-market-sized paperback, but the eight stories contained within are in COMIC BOOK format (black & white, yet!). The adaptations and drawing were performed by no less than Albert B. Feldstein, of MAD Magazine fame.

Stories included:

There Was an Old Woman
The Screaming Woman
Touch and Go
The Small Assassin
The Handler
The Lake
The Coffin
Let's Play Poison
5.0 out of 5 stars Reprints of EC comcis from the 50s -- but don't let that stop you! April 29 2013
By D. Owens - Published on Amazon.com
EC Comics, then famous for its horror and science fiction titles, pirated these eight stories by Ray Bradbury without acknowledgment or payment in full color comic book format back in the fifties. Bradbury noted the theft, waited patiently for payment for a while, then sent them a friendly letter noting that they had "forgotten" to pay him. EC immediately paid up. Then in the 60s the stories were reprinted in black and white in mass market paperback format by Ballantine Books with an introduction by Bradbury. I happened to find it in a convenience story paperback rack when I was a teenager, and snapped it up immediately, being a big Bradbury fan at the time. This is some of the most fun reading I've ever done in my life! It's a pity this is out of print, but if Bradbury is your thing it's well worth the trouble and the money to track down a good used copy to add to your collection.
