Summary, Sep 30 2006
The four Qurilixian Princes have no problem with commitment. In one night, using the power they were born with, they will meet and choose their life mate in a simplistic ceremony involving the removing of masks and the crushing of crystals. With very few words spoken and the shortest, most bizarre courtship in history, they will bond to their women forever. And once bonded, these men don't let go....
Breaking up was never so hard...
Going undercover at Galaxy Brides as one of the prospective mates to these Viking-like barbarians, Morrigan has no intention of getting chosen to stay. But when Ualan of the Draig picks her to be his wife with the aid of his mystically glowing crystal, it is all she can do to say no.
Waking up from a drug-induced night of torturous and unfulfilling pleasures, Morrigan discovers her spaceship has left without her and Ualan is claiming she is his wife. It's not exactly the story this reporter had in mind. And to make matters worse, Ualan refuses to take no for an answer.
Being cursed by the Gods was never so frustrating...
Prince Ualan is like all others of his race on the male dominated planet of Qurilixen. He is raised to trust the mystic powers around him and when it comes time to marry, he is ready to follow those powers to choose his life mate. When the stubborn, yet achingly beautiful, Morrigan refuses to accept their shared fate and his supreme authority over her, it is all he can do not to break her lovely neck.

***Maybe spoilers***
I was amazingly suprised by the writing of Michelle M. Pillow. I love her sense of humor who's reflected in Ualan character. The way she's able to make sex scene good without falling into too harsh sex that does not fit the story makes me want to read the next book in the series. The writing is fluid and easy to anybody to read. I was suprise that the book was only 225 pages, but the format of the book would probably make a 300 pages if it was smaller. I wasn't sur it worth the price! I also read a couple of bad reviews, but you cannot pleased everyone so I try it anyway and well... Honestly it was hard for me to put the book aside! There's always someting Rigan do that makes you want to read more to know what would happen to her.
I'm not into outer space kind of story, but I really enjoy this one because when I read it I wasn't thinking about Aliens. It come naturally to me, it's seem more like a medieval story to me with paranormal things like the shapeshifter. I love everything about alpha male, but I would love Ualan a little bit more raw and possessive with Rigan. Love the way Ualan is keeping Rigan under his control with the slave/maid scene.
The only thing I didn't buy was the fact that Rigan was a professional reporter and didn't even take the information on Ualan culture and ritual. She did a lame job on the research and as a workalcoolic, she should have dig a little bit! She's also acting like a baby who didn't get what she wanted... Like the scene where she made a mess in the house...
I also love the fact that you know a little bit about the others princes (each brother have a story and a bride that makes the Series). I can't wait to read the story about Yusef! Finally, even with only 225 pages, there were alot of information about the futuristic world where Rigan was living (the Earth) and on description of the main characters.
My rating is 4/5.
