just when you think.....,

...just when you think it can't get any better, this multi-talented and really nice gal hunts down a selection of wonderful songs from the 60's, 70's.... has her way with them.... creates brilliant arrangements.... gathers some of the best musicians ever, and then performs and produces in collaboration with Daniel Leblanc yet another CD with immense entertainment value. THANK YOU ECB!

What a great album from a great artist! The cd gets lots of continual air play in my car. A definite "must-have."

What have I been missing?,
This review is from: The Beat Goes On (Audio CD)
What a great album. This is the first time that I have listened to Emilie-Claire Barlow and I am hooked. (I have been out of the country for a while.)I enjoyed the variety on the album from the faster-paced "Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head" to the more melancholy "Breaking Up Is Hard To Do". The arrangements are imaginative and Ms. Barlow's voice is smooth. The songs on this album certainly capture and update the essences of the originals. This is one of those albums that you pop in a CD player, pour a glass of wine, kick back, and let the rhythms take over.
