Product Description

Book Description

This book features a fascinating collection of some of the most innovative tables, chairs and lights ever designed; those that push the boundaries of imagination, art, and design.

This is a must for any designer interested in not only beautiful and often innovative design, but how such furniture is constructed. Taking 50 of each of these objects (tables, chairs, and lights), this book follows the furniture maker from original brief through to finished object, and features the work of some of the most highly talented and accomplished designers in the world. It is visually stunning, with photographs and diagrams to illustrate the design and construction processes, whilst particular attention is paid to the materials employed.

A veritable tome, this book will become essential to all designers' reference libraries. This new value-for-money and re-sized paperback edition brings the book within reach of all design students who will value it.

There are tons of furniture books out there but this one is different from the norm. Not only does this book show images of the final product but it also has illustrations of how the furniture was built, the process of development and material call outs. This allows the reader to gain a much deeper understanding of the furnitures. I highly recommend this book.
