Product Description

Product Description

On April 22, 2010, the Deepwater Horizon offshore drilling rig sank into the Gulf of Mexico, creating the worst oil spill in history. By exposing the root causes of the spill, and the massive cover-up by BP that followed, the filmmakers uncover a vast network of corruption and expose a government that puts the pursuit of profit above all other human and environmental needs.

"An enraged exposé of the crimes of Big Oil." -- Stephen Holden, THE NEW YORK TIMES

"Brings home the real consequences of BP’s inadequate, tardy and wrong-headed response to the 2010 oil spill." -- Kirk Honeycutt, THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER

A disturbing but powerful movie. By now, most people have forgotten about the millions of barrels of BP oil spilled in the Gulf. However, the message of this movie is still as current today as the day it was filmed. This movie received a standing ovation at the Cannes Film Festival. If you watch it, you will totally understand why! This is a movie that should not be missed!
