Between 1983 & 1986 these guys made some great albums. While not the killer album "Headhunter" is, this collection of tunes is catchy and among some of their best. Once again there is a cover tune, this time "Ballroom Blitz" by Sweet, which they cover admirably. However it's the two tunes "Midnight Maniac" & "Rock The Nation" are the two other standout tracks.

i blame this album on the production which is too overproduced and sounds more like a hair metal band kind of production job. Midnite maniac is a very good song, but they hardly even play it live anymore. Lacklustre songs and a rather poor cover of ballroom blitz is another mistake. After the platinum success of headhunter great things could have happened to krokus, but ultimately this album and change of address would essentially sink their career in north america. Very sad for such a good band who have put out some good comeback albums over the last 30 yrs.

A great metal album, these guys and Ratt were 2 bands along with Sammy Hagars solo stuff, that I first listened to back in 1985...so much good metal then...
the opening riff for midnite maniac sets the tone for this album. This is not Fun metal, not dark metal, not progressive metal, it's just a little bit of everything, mostly driving guitars, GREAT RIFFS and pounding drums and bass, and the vocals screech with as much intensity as AC/DC or Cinderella. Download a song or to and check it out, if ya like it then buy it, If you're a fan of metal you have to get this!

Krokus/Blitz: without a dought is the best album Krokus ever made. It's a rock n'roll master piece..If you never heard them before I would have to say they have the AC/DC sound going for them....It's classic 80's rock at it's best!! If your a big fan of the 80's rock era you have to give Krokus a try..you won't be disapointed!!

While it may not be cool anymore to like bands such as Krokus, I still love this record...they weren't the best band ever, but there are really great songs on this album, and it has some absolutely awesome production. High points include "Rock The Nation," "Hot Stuff," "Midnite Maniac," and "Our Love." The only song I hate on this CD is the cover of Sweet's "Ballroom Blitz," which is a lame song no matter who does it. Pop this one in on a warm day, roll down the windows, let your mullet fly and crank it up!
