Product Description

Review

“The book is fabulous. It’s really spectacular” (Dr. Oz)

“Knowledge is power, and that’s what this book is about.” (Robin Roberts, Good Morning America)

“This book road-mapped for me why I feel better today than I did when I was 20. And it explains to me the importance of strength inside and out.” (Rachael Ray)

“[THE BODY BOOK] is brimming with advice, tips and tricks and useful science that she’s learned along her wellness journey.” (SELF Magazine)

“…Diaz’s message is smart: Your body is the best instrument you’ll ever own.” (Daily Beast)

“Her manual reads a bit like a cross between a science textbook and articles from the Well section of the New York Times your mother sends you, with a dash of a best friend that likes to overshare.” (Jezebel)

“Unlike other celebrities who are out there promoting juicing, fitness or slapping their names on wellness books they didn’t write or could care less about - Cameron is the real deal.” (Access Hollywood)

From the Back Cover

Throughout her career, Cameron Diaz has been a role model for millions of women. By her own admission, though, this fit, athletic star wasn't always as health-conscious as she is today. Her consumption of bad foods had an effect on her skin and her body. "If you are what you eat," she says, "I was a bean burrito with extra cheese and extra sauce, no onions." Learning about the inseparable link between nutrition and health was just one of the life-changing lessons that sparked Cameron's passion to explore the best ways to care for her body. In The Body Book, she shares the knowledge she's gained both from personal experience and from consulting with health experts.

Beginning with nutrition, Cameron explains why instead of fearing hunger, women should embrace their body's instinct for fuel and satisfy it with whole, nutrient-dense foods.

Cameron also explains the essential role of consistent physical activity. Many women think about exercise in terms of pounds lost or muscle tone gained, but don't realize that working up a sweat is also essential for improving mood, boosting energy levels, and preventing disease. Cameron offers tips for choosing the right exercise program and shares her own workout strategies for looking and feeling your best.

Creating a healthy, beautiful body begins with learning the facts and turning knowledge into action. In The Body Book, women will find the tools they need to build a healthier body now—so they can live joyfully in it for years to come.

Loved it! This is kind of like a really well-written and entertaining 'textbook' on health. Very easy to read. There aren't any fads listed, just good & true information. It really helps you filter out all of the mixed messages out there. I came away feeling positive and motivated to stay healthy in a natural and normal way. Highly recommended!!!!

I loved this book! I wish I read it when I was a teenager. In fact, I think every female teenager should read it. The message is very positive. It's very educational, yet easy to digest. It felt like Cameron was speaking directly to you. Like having a conversation with a girl friend. Definitely 5 stars!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book which was well researched, easy to read and understand, and very educational and informative.
I have recommended it to several of my friends, and my personal trainer at the gym has borrowed it and is also enjoying it. Also,
I am 75 years old.

I loved the way this book was written, so refreshing
For it to be about how we should look after our bodies..than these diet books..of course it includes how we should eat but with healthy foods and exercise.

Didn't think I'd enjoy this book at all. Being extremely interested in health, I thought it would be too basic. It actually reminds me of having a talk with a good friend and has really shifted my views on my body... especially things like how oxygen feeds our bodies and we need to keep moving. I find myself doing sit-ups and pushups and above all, not minding household chores. As someone who does a lot of sitting thinking that 30 mins of cardio a day was enough, I am not looking for opportunities to find exercise in other areas of my life and shifting my focus from cardio to body building.

This book reminds you the most basic things about health, nutrition that we take for granted. We tend to complicate life, yet it is so simple. This book brings us back to that simple daily life.

When I first saw Ms Diaz on the Queen Latifa show with this book, I wanted to get it. But, on the first page, she states it was not a diet book! To say I was disappointed was an understatement! But, since I had purchased it, I read it. In all that is real, this book had me from the second page. I finished it in record time. I high lighted different parts, so I could go back to them. I know I will never look like her ... ( darn it ), but I think I now have an understanding on what I must do to have a healthy body. My body. Thank you Ms Diaz.
