|The first couple hours of the road trip: Full boxes of granola bars, fresh mix tapes, and the heady thrill of anticipation get your body ready for a nice long ride. Gas tank's full, washer fluid's topped up, and your tiny thimble bladder doesn't have a drop in it. We're flying now. AWESOME!||Rubbing someone's newly shaved head: Feel the buzz and rub that fuzz. AWESOME!|
|Stomping dry crunchy leaves on the sidewalk: Baby buds pop out in the spring, healthy leaves fly high all summer, and then they crumble and tumble down to the sidewalk. Yes, the sun rose, the sun set, months went by, and the earth actually tilted on its axis before this moment could appear before you. Now enjoy the crispy crunch that comes when your sneakers smash a brittle little leaf into smithereens. AWESOME!||Realizing you still remembered your childhood friend's phone number: Realizing you still remember old phone numbers gives a great smile-and-sunshine vibe. Lips curl, eyes twinkle, and memory reels start whirring on the rusty projector as you remember dialing those digits, day after day, day after, day after day. Making plans for the park, grumbling about teachers, whispering about cute classmates late at night, you just suddenly remember those times, those moments, and those old friends. AWESOME!|
This is a book to carry around and catch a quick read while waiting in the doctor's office, Looking forward to the next one.Published on Jan. 18 2013 by Dorothee Harmon
