I had read a lot about marketing for professionals and micro business, and now I can understand the why of the other author's recommendations. I think this book is a necessity for professionals and micro entrepreneurs.

Personal Branding info is timeless, though marketing methods dated Jan. 27 2011

I enjoyed this book and love when author's use case studies to prove points. It gives great ideas. The info on personal branding and how to develop yours as a theory is timeless, but there was also a lot of information regarding how to market yourself that was dated. Perhaps there's a new edition that talks about how Facebook and other social media are best used, but mine only went so far as to how to set up a web site. Blogs aren't even on the map.

It's a great start to building your personal brand, and I've already incorporated some of it into my online bio and blog. As an image consultant, this is definitely the best marketing strategy for connecting with my clientele.

If anyone has other great ideas or success stories on personal branding, I'd love to hear them! [...]. You can email me or post on my blog!

Thanks,
Thea

The Brand Called You Sept. 7 2008

Peter Montoya's book is easy to ready, digest and implement. I can tell when a non fiction books makes an impact -- it's when I'm crimped dozens of pages, underscored countless passages and pull the book out to quote again and again.
