2.0 out of 5 stars Not well put together. Jan. 19 2012
By john m
This book is the actual dummy in this case. Some of the content didn`t even make sense. I bought the book to prepare for writing the Canadian GED. Although i did not graduate high school, I`ve still accumulated enough knowledge to know that some of the material covered in the book provides incorrect and misleading information. There are practice tests in this book, along with answer sheets. Lets just say that the supposed correct answer is not always the correct one, leaving you, the reader, to wonder who the f*** proofread this dumb book. When it comes to education and books that are designed to help one succeed, it better be made perfect, the information in the book must be 100% accurate. any discrepancies would make the book unreliable and not worth purchasing. You`d be better off trying one of the other GED prep books. As a matter of fact, I will never purchase another "...for dummies" book.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was ok, but not that great Nov. 4 2013

I bought this book for the practice tests. The book was very good for explaining what was going to be on the test, but there wasn't very much information when it comes to math, and during the practice math exams there were quite a few mistakes in the 2nd practice exam.. Let say the answer was 22. it would say a) 1 B)24 C) 82 D) 22. and then when you check your answer it would say that D 22 was wrong when in fact it was right. in the explanation it would say the answer is A) 22 because.. but actually A 's answer was 1. That was really annoying to me. but over all it helped me prepare.. I also used the Complete Canadian GED Handbook, and that was the best book ever, it helped so much and explained everything.
