One of the most endearing features of The Carol Burnett Show was the Q&A session with the audience that opened every show; it provided a charming forum for Burnett’s warm rapport with her fans, as well as a showcase for her improvisational skills. This 2004 TV special (which, like Burnett’s Showstoppers retrospective from 2001, posted huge ratings) puts the comedienne and her series co-stars--Harvey Korman, Tim Conway, Vicki Lawrence, and Lyle Waggoner--in front of an audience once again to reminisce and introduce some vintage Q&A clips. Burnett remains fast with a quip, and game enough to once again venture a stellar Tarzan yell, and she’s well-matched by her former castmates, who spin some terrific stories about smooching male and female audience members, wrangling with the legendary Mrs. Miller, and struggling to keep a straight face while one of them (usually Conway) stole the show. For fans of the series, this is an enjoyable highlight reel of its funniest unscripted moments. --Paul Gaita

I guess it's a matter of 'Due Diligence' on my part. I bought this set as a gift for my wife as she loved this show in her younger years and wanted to share that experience with me.
I bought this set thinking we were going to sit back and watch some of Carol Burnett's classic shows, or at least a decent compilation of the show's best moments.
Instead, what we got were less than 2 hours of 2 'Remember the Good Old Days' shows where the stars reminisced about some of their favourite moments, sprinkled with clips of some of these moments.
Don't get me wrong, it's not that the clips weren't enjoyable, I had a good laugh here and there, but I feel like I just bought 15 minutes worth of show with the rest being fluff I wasn't interested in. It would have been nice if Amazon had more details about this product so that I could have made a more informed choice.
If you're a Carol Burnett fan and need every scrap of footage and want to hear the stars share their favourite moments, then you might like it. However, if you are looking for a decent sampling of Carol's classic shows you'll be sadly disappointed like I was.

I should have paid more attention to the review above. The CD's were a huge disappointment. There were next to no clips from any of the shows - it was all reminiscent talk among the four main characters. I had seen a TV special 4 or 5 years ago, and it was full of some of the best moments of the weekly shows. I wonder where you can get that.

Laugh until it hurts
These discs brought back alot of good memories of good wholesome comedy. It's not surprising that this comedy troop has been together for so long. Read more

Wasn't what I was looking for
I was looking for full length episodes of the show. The little write up on the video wasn't clear, and I was very disappointed.
