This review is from: The Case of the Angry Actress (Paperback)
E.V. Cunningham is the pseudonym of the screen writer Howard Fast, who also wrote the novel "Spartacus" upon which the movie of the same title is based. This mystery is one of a number that he wrote about his fictional Beverley Hills Japanese-American homicide detective Masao Masuto. Masuto is not a very likeable character, and is also not very believable as he always speaks and thinks in a steotypical measured Japanese way. The plot here is only so-so and it is flawed in that not enough clues are given for the reader to be able to figure out who dunnit.
