Product Description

"I'm a prisoner here and they've stolen my body."

That's the first line in The Change, the published version of a journal found in 2010 at the back of a shallow cave in the red rock desert of southern Utah. It chronicles the experience of David Crosley, a young musician who discovers himself alone in the desert in a woman's body, or was he always a woman now deluded in believing she had ever been a man? He/she uses the journal to retrace the past in an effort to regain true identity, and in the process remembers encountering a group of highly sexual female shamans on a quest to change the world, metaphysical magic, a free energy machine, political intrigue and gender bending sexual fantasy. The result is a self indulgent page turner which analyzes gender identity and the metaphysical nature of the universe we live in.

About the Author

In attempting to determine the identity of the author of this novel, which was found by boy scouts in the back of a shallow cave in the Utah desert, the editors elected to use the initials of the male writer (David Crosley) and the first name of this same character when female (Candi) as the author name, D. C. Candi. The actual identity of the author remains uncertain.

5.0 out of 5 stars An intriguing plot that mixes erotic encounters and esoteric theories with an espionage-type twist. April 26 2015

A sexy tale that begs the question, "What is real".

The lead character is caught up in a web of confusion, intrigue, mysticism and fantasy, as his/her journey with a group of beautiful and powerful women leads him/her to the edge of insanity, questioning true gender and identity.

Is he David - a musician in a band, or Candi - a beautiful, sexy blonde, who is part of a bevy of other hot sexy shaman women, on a mission to 'change the world' using their technological skills and metaphysical abilities? Will they succeed?

Acts that question and transcend the laws of nature abound in this salacious adventure that keeps you guessing. Spiritual words of wisdom, shape-shifting, other dimensions, gender bending, with good intentions gone awry.

An intriguing plot that mixes erotic encounters and esoteric theories with an espionage-type twist.

A very expansive read, I enjoyed it immensely.
5.0 out of 5 stars Shifting shapes and changing genders April 5 2012

An amazing and mind-blowing novel about what is real and what is illusion, perception, drug induced halucination, or simply magic. This is a book that falls somewhere on the spectrum of reading that includes, "The Teachings of Don Juan," "Orlando," and "Not your Average American Girl," the Christine Beauty memoir. I don't pretend to understand the metaphysical and scientific aspects of this work, set against a background of shifting shapes and changing genders, but I do know it was sexually titillating, intellectually challenging, spiritually expansive, a great story and it really held my interest.
