This review is from: The Clique #10: P.S. I Loathe You (Paperback)
The Pretty Committee is back, and they are far from love and friendship. In fact, it seems like the more and more they are together, the more they just can't stand each other. The only thing that is more unstable than their friendship are the boys in their lives. To cut it short, Massie has moved on to another soccer player, Dempsey, who just so happens to be great friends with Layne. Even though Massie says she's over Derrington, Dylan knows if she tells Massie she has a crush on him, things won't bode well for her. Kristen finally has the guy she's literally been waiting for but just isn't sure if he is the right person. Claire seems to be the only one without boy trouble, as she finally has Cam back in her life. The only thing on Alicia's mind is deciding whether she should stick around and take Massie's controlling nature or move on to bigger and better friends. Once again, it seems like the PC are on the brink of breaking up, and the consistency of Massie's overly-boy-loving, bossy self does not help at all. The only character in the entire novel who seems interested in keeping the girls together is Claire. In this installment, Harrison allows readers to get to know Kristen and Dylan more as they are the main narrators. Kristen seems to have it rougher than the other girls, not just because of how her boy just might not be the right one, but also her friendship with Layne is totally forbidden if Massie ever discovered it. Of course, Layne is a better and loyal friend than Massie, but Kristen just isn't sure if she is able to leave the PC behind. Dylan, on the other hand, understands that it would be the ultimate betrayal to date one of her friend's boys, and Massie is no exception. Will Kristen, Dylan, and Alicia finally reach a decision that life would be better off without the ringleader to bark orders, or will they be unable to end the friendship that has lasted between them and Massie for so long? P.S. I LOATHE YOU contains all of the same elements as the other CLIQUE novels: betrayal, gossip, and boys. Fans will not be disappointed in this installment, as they are able to understand Kristen and Dylan more, who were only minor characters in the past. Reviewed by: Randstostipher "tallnlankyrn" Nguyen

I didn't know what to expect from the latest installment of the Clique series. After 5 The Clique Summer Collections which were both a hit and miss, I thought that these books were getting border-line too ridiculous. I don't know what to think. I was entertained by reading about what the characters were up to but the cute Cam/Claire duo was barely present. The Witty Commitee is just too funny. Massie continues to be munipilative and let me just say what happens with Dylan is Ad-or-ab-le!These books are always funny and, don't get me wrong, ridiculous in a good way. Although the plot wasen't too exciting, the shocking ending adds to the excitment and the anticipation for Boys 'R' Us, the next Clique novel. Reviewed by Callie at Handle Like Hendrix

The best book!!!!!!!!!!!,
A Kid's Review - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Clique #10: P.S. I Loathe You (Paperback)
I love this book because it is very interesting! The setting of this book is at Octavian Country Day School better known as OCD. It is a private school and only for girls! In the beginning, Massie and her friends have just started 8th grade. They can't wait to meet "hot" guys at school. Dylan is the first one to find a guy she likes when she has detention. It is Derrick, her friend Massie's ex. boyfriend. They secretly date because they dont want Massie to know. Meanwhile, Alicia and the other girls try out for the cheer squad. Alicia has always been good with routines. She asks Massie if she can be head cheerleader and Massie says NO! So Alicia decides to make up a dance squad of her own. Kristen, on the other hand is worried about what might happen if Massie finds out that she's hanging out with Layne. The reason Kristen is hanging out with Layne is because they are both part of the scholarship program. Kristen also has a problem when she finds out the guy Massie and Layne likes actually likes herself and she doesn't know if she should tell them. Claire is upset when her friends get mad at each other for betraying the other ones and their group splits up. Massie is trying to keep up with everything but then finds out Dylan is dating her ex. boyfriend, she gets mad. The resolution happens in the next book. They get back together after they realize how dumb it was to fight. |
