Product Description

Meet Morgan Pym.

650 years ago he made a deal with the devil and now he's changing the rules.

MORGAN PYM looks 30, but was born in 1322 AD, a monk who sold his soul to cure the woman he loved of Plague. But when his deal ended 10 years later (as all deals with the Devil do), his beloved died, and Morgan went to work for the Devil collecting souls, rather than go to Hell himself.

Six centuries later, Morgan begins to rediscover his own humanity, and makes a new deal with the Devil, which allows him to try to help his clients make amends for the bad luck caused by their bargain. Morgan often fails, but never gives up trying to prove that everyone, no matter what they've done, can earn redemption... perhaps even himself.

In the first episode, we find out what happens to Maya Kandinsky - where it left off from Season One. After that, the Season does get better. One of my favourite episodes is "The Pharmacist" - where a woman sold her soul to the devil for the cure of cancer. Jeri Slate starts to get close to Morgan in the episode called "The Comic" - the best episode of the series. You also see a part of Maya's deal. You won't find out what is going on until the next season. Jeri starts to get even closer in the episode called "The Campaign Manager" which is not one of the greatest episodes of the season and series. After that, Jeri Slate finds out about someone else's deal. There are some more great episodes after that - "The Tour Guide", "The Superhero". There are some special episodes which includes the story of Jack The Ripper, which took place in the 19th Century. The episode called "The Historian" is a great episode for those who like history about World War 2. The season ends with "Beginings" which tells two stories - which Morgan sold his soul to save Katrina's life as well as the Devil training Morgan as a Collector. I believe Season Two is one of the best seasons of The Collector series.

Disc One: The Cowboy, The Ufologist, The Dreamer, The Pharmacist, The Tatoo Artist
Disc Two: The Comic, The Campaign Manager, The Mother, The Tour Guide
Disc Three: The Superhero, The Ripper, The Historian, Beginnings.

The first DVD set of THE COLLECTOR--SEASON 2 that I purchased was Brand New and Factory Sealed--but was DEFECTIVE. Several episodes across all 3 DVD's in this set--as well as the "play all" function--would not work at all. When I attempted to play back several episodes, the player would FREEZE-UP, vibrate violently and "seize" the DVD. It then took a MAJOR EFFORT just to eject the DVD from the player. No matter what brand of DVD player I tried, the result was the same--these DVD's are defective. I returned the DVD set to the seller and purchased another one--again a brand new, factory sealed set from a different seller. The 2ND SET WAS DEFECTIVE as well with the exact same problems described above!!! I returned the set to the seller. At this point, I've given up--is it possible that the entire run of THE COLLECTOR--SEASON 2 is DEFECTIVE? In the case of this DVD set, "let the buyer beware".

I would always come across The Collector on TV but soon found that it had a story line to follow. I must have found a lot of second season episodes on TV because I was use to the Maya story line in this season (for those who have seen season one you will understand). My husband began watching the series with me and we are sad it ended so soon. Interesting concept, including people you want saved and others you couldn't care less about. If you see the show on TV I would advice buying the DVDs to watch in order because there is a constructive story.
