This is an authoritative, comprehensive reference work, a necessity for anyone interested in the history of tennis. The b/w photos are wonderful although printed on plain-text stock, and the copy is always the usual Bud Collins as journalist stuff, amusing and arch, with all the stats one could possibly desire.My copy, however, has neither date nor place of publication listed anywhere, making me wonder about its authenticity. Furthermore, typos abound.
Still, I wouldn't be without this tome, especially with the Open coming up so soon.
