Danny writes from the heart. He tells his personal stories so everybody can relate to them and maybe even think of things which have happen to themselves. The book has great exercises in it to put you on your road to success and at the same time it is so humorous written that you can't stop reading it.

5.0 out of 5 stars An entertaining and super worthwhile read March 15 2011
Format:Paperback
I recently purchased 2 copies of Danny's book (one to keep and one to give away) and upon finishing my copy I must say I really enjoyed it. Danny is a great story teller with an extremely worthwhile message for entrepreneurial types and those just looking for a way to help themselves succeed.... with anything. The book was a fun read with a great message and as a bonus includes many useful and worthwhile worksheets and tools to actually allow you to implement what you are learning. Well done!

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspirational Read Jan. 2 2011
Format:Paperback
I just finished Danny Lyon's inspirational book, 'The Colour of My Underwear Is Blue', and I can't think of a better start to a New Year. Danny's obvious joy for life is infectious, his honesty witty and refreshing. Danny's tools for guidance toward a richer life, both professionally and personally, clearly outline the way for each of us to follow his example, learn from our mistakes, and not only reach for the stars, but grab them!

5.0 out of 5 stars Nothing Like Exposure! Jan. 23 2011
By Big John - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Definitely one of the more unusual, intriguing and rewarding books on self-development and living a fulfilling life that I have read in a long time.

The author's primary theme is that, as we go through life, every one of us creates our own network of family, friends, colleagues and other people who have impacted us along the way. This network is one of our strongest and durable assets and is often the one we make the least use of.

Danny Lyon contends that one of the most important keys to success (and he has an entire, wonderful chapter on the many different definitions of "success" are available through his own network) is to use the talent and energy or our own networks to support and motivate us to dare and to achieve so much more than we could on our own. But - and this is a really important "but" - this can only happen if one is willing to expose oneself, one's fears, one's ambitions and, most importantly, one's shortcomings to our network. Only by allowing others to know what one really wants and needs can they help, support and inspire.

Danny is also an amazing story-teller Not the fables and fantasies of childhood (and occasionally arrested adulthood!) but the stories of things that have happened to him that have their own message and were rich seams of learning. He has an ability to create the situation, convey the events and relationships that were important and relevant at the time, and to teach the lesson of exposure that shows the way to greatness and to success.

To be candid, the book does show some signs of hasty editing in places and some of the otherwise excellent worksheets and record-keeping charts would be much more user-friendly if provided in a full-page format (and it now appears that they are, in fact, available as downloads from the author's website, so play fair, buy the book and follow the instructions to obtain the downloads).

And in the interest of full disclosure, I should mention that I have known Danny Lyon for a number of years and have always admired his ability to communicate his own infectious enthusiasm for life, for friends and for helping others. Nevertheless, I was surprised at the depth of content, insight and fresh awareness that this book gave me. Thank you, Danny, for sharing this with the world and for exposing yourself for our benefit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliantly Communicated June 8 2011
By Jeff Parker - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
A timely, well written and brilliantly communicated message for people who desire to excel in both life and business. Using wit and humour Danny Lyon effectively communicates the age old relevant philosophy, "The Golden Rule" and "Givers Gain". Presenting a concise and clear picture of the importance of using the network that we all have available to us to transform our lives in ways we never thought possible.

The message is clear, 'You must be willing to expose yourself for success to happen'. Danny brings out some practical steps and gives us some great exercises to put the wheels in motion to realize how your network can benefit you and how you can reciprocate.

Excellent read, this book has lasting rewards!!
