5.0 out of 5 stars An amazing deal May 24 2009
Format:DVD
There were several episodes that I remembered as a kid and owning this full compilation refreshed all of those past memories. There are local shops offering 6 episodes for 55 dollars and I received all 48(both seasons) for under $100! A must have for any sci-fi fans, especially for those who appreciate what this TV show offered in 1974!

cheers...

5.0 out of 5 stars Sc-Fi at it's best! March 30 2010
Format:DVD
As a kid growing up in the 70' and watching Space 1999 episodes every Saturday morning I was fascinated at all the wonders that Space 1999 offered to their viewers. What blew me away back then and even today were the eagles! To me they looked so real! The detail that was put into them was remarkable! I'm sure that if a proto type were ever built that it might even fly! Watching all these episodes years later has brought back many childhood memories!

5.0 out of 5 stars Space 1999 May 4 2013

It is well presented and it was fun to see the special episode at the end. We see now that the moon is still there in our sky at night but back then and now it is great to follow their adventure in space.

I bought this as a Christmas present for a friend. She was extremely ecstatic when she opened it. She even asked me if this was really what she thought it was. Very happy!!

5.0 out of 5 stars where did the moon go? Nov. 26 2012
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
The first season is a serious sci-fi show. the second season is sorta ok but lost its edge as to american tv infuence, which is so obvious due to costuming, set design, and character development. Konig and Russell romance kills the mood. But still a great series to watch the whole thing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good Collection July 5 2012
Format:DVD|Verified Purchase
This is a very complete set for Space:1999 fans and although picture quality is 30 years out of date (best watched on 40" and smaller screens) I would still recommend it to all the old sci-fi geeks like myself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Set to Own Aug. 17 2009
Format:DVD
I grew up with this Sci Fi Program and this DVD set is letting me relive some of my childhood. The quality of the episodes are amazing. The remastering is really well done. Not overblown, just cleaned up. The extras are okay, but you have to realize there wasn't a lot of extra behind the scenes coverage back in the mid 70's.
Its nice to be able to view both seasons as they were completely different. And the special effects are still some of the best and hold up today way better than some of these new computer generated effects. If you were a fan of this series, this set is a must, and its a great price for the whole series!
