Book Description

July 28 2011
These poems are glimpses into unrequited love. What is this love? To define love is to constrain an ocean, to fence infinity, or to describe you - simply impossible! Anguish is frequent and bliss rare in my life but many have resulted in poetry.

The question is, has been and shall be; where to pilgrim? Perhaps into the lovers’ embrace? Or, to mount Kailas, looking for the invisible, not-to-be-found Shiva? The dead end-up searching for the non-sublime celestial love only to have the finger pointed backwards to who am I? Written in millions of words and billions of prayers, I too have heard these answers. But like high school math, just the end result is not enough. Let me show you my steps inside.

Wake Up

Or, Screams You Do Not Hear

Since time immemorial, I am trying to wake you up but you don’t. Not complaining, for such is not my nature; Mine is to wake you up.

Not frustrated for I cannot be I just have to wake you up.

Melody in bird’s chirping, Coolness in the summer breeze, Burning heat in midday sun Deafening monsoon thunder I did it all just to wake you up.

Spark in the first kiss, Comfort in mother’s embrace, Sensual grains in chocolate mousse and Rush and reward in market risk I did it all, just to wake you up.

My Favourite Poem (Free Preview)

Rise Flower Children Rise

Look into her eyes, you see love You felt ages ago At speakeasy, at protest rallies In the pubs, across the hallways, in the dorms. Was anyone excluded from your love? O dear flower children Same feeling has come to haunt you Now as your children.

Why fight it Why put shackles on The freedom you created?

The freedom to love; peace not war.

5.0 out of 5 stars Raw and vulnerable Sep 30 2011
You can not live life to the fullest unless you experience raw emotions, be it in light or darkness. This book is about the path of light travelled in a raw and vulnerable state. Particularly appealing to sensitive people who see life as a journey towards the divine and find so many dead ends that they want to give up. The poet has put your feelings and frustrations into short and sweet poems to savor.
