Product Description

Product Description

From the creator of the celebrated Plucker comes a frightening glimpse into hell and the afterlife. Escapees from the fiery underworld fill the richly illustrated pages of this novel set in modern-day Texas. They terrify and slay the living while trying to elude the guards who have been sent to round them up. Cole, one of the undead, has been sent to reclaim these souls in flight and return them to the fiery depths. But one escaped soul is not like the others: Rath, who in fact wants to return to hell. But why? And why does Cole, a tormented soul from hell, strive to capture his fellow hellmates? It has to do with a woman named Rose—a woman he has wronged—and a pact he made with the devil.

5.0 out of 5 stars Holy Hell Bells!, Aug 2 2007
By John H. Fearing - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Devil's Rose (Hardcover)
Holy Hell Bells! Brom takes it up a notch. Brom's incredible paintings mixed with his ability to weave a tale takes you on a real ride. Page after page of amazing paintings are worth the price of admission alone, but the story is just as amazing. I found myself deeply moved by the plight of these tortured souls. Highly recommended!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brom does it again!, Oct 5 2007
By Mr. Justin N. White "Chaos Boy" - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Devil's Rose (Hardcover)
Brom delivers another flawless piece of work with his follow up to Plucker, The Devil's Rose. Not only is his art as gorgeous and frightening as ever but he has really grown as a writer as well.

Really rad story, could do with a sequel, as thats how it ends.
Could of also done with a slipcover, as it's a Hardback,
I wonder if any else noticed this ?
Not a big deal, but The Plucker has one, so yeah.
