5.0 out of 5 stars The end is near Jun 8 2012

That seems that people either love or hate The Divide and I personally love it. The film isn't without flaws , ie; some events that occur have no real explanation. But consider the fact that if you are locked in a bunker and have no means of communicating to the outside world( if there still is one) then you too would have to use your imagination as to what might be happening. The film puts you right in the turmoil of the characters, the performaces are amazing by the actors and the ensemble cast was perfect.
This film is a bleak view of humanity, and perhaps for those who disliked the film, an all too real imagination of what might happen at the end of the world as we know it.

1.0 out of 5 stars Quite The Disaster May 9 2012
Format:Blu-ray
I don't think I've been so disappointed in a film. I love "end of the world" scenarios, but this film failed in nearly every way imaginable. It gets off to a pretty good start. The world has been bombed to ashes from war, and we are introduced to a small group of survivors, who have found refuge in a bomb shelter. The next twenty minutes or so, does a decent job at exploring the different types of characters we will be following throughout the movie, while giving us vague hints at what is going on outside. After that, the movie just falls flat on it's face. The group dynamic makes no sense whatsover, and you will be screaming at the characters to make at least one logical decision. The script is non-sensical mess, it's not even funny. There is no flow to the story whatsoever. It's just one nasty scene after another, with no rhyme or reason as to why the characters are doing what they're doing.

To be clear, I'm not offended by movies with a nasty tone. I love dark, and twisted movies that this was trying to be. I'm offended by stupidity, and this movie just kept on serving it up. Just brutal.
