Serviceable Dream Book Sept. 25 2011
By Nan - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
I've been using Cheung's book to interpret my dreams for a few years, and I've found it to have mostly helpful interpretations. What's helpful is that the book includes Freudian interpretations of dreams as well as Jungian. The Freudian interpretations aren't as helpful as the Jungian, just so you know. You'll see what I mean when you buy the book. The introduction to the book has 15+ pages of a primer on dream interpretation and how to use the dream book. The end of the book has a list, descriptions and analyses of 10 of the most common dreams, which is helpful too. Using the book to analyze my dreams I've found that some of the interpretations are spot-on in many cases. The book includes interpretations for symbols, feelings (as in loneliness or fear), and environment. The listing of symbols and other things in alphabetical order helps you quickly find an interpretation before your dream leaves your mind.

The biggest detractor to the book is that the book title "From A to Z" might lead you to believe that nearly everything you can imagine is included in the book. While it's impossible to include everything, some of the simplest things that you think would be in a dream book aren't included. I don't remember the exact symbols I searched for in the book and didn't find, but I do remember thinking, 'How can (bland) not be included?! on several occasions' Also, the book includes some symbols under different topics and there isn't always a "see Watches" notation if you're looking for "clocks". Have a pen handy so you can write in where to find certain things you come across for future reference. Some of the listings are out of order as well, so make sure you skip ahead or back a few pages if at first you don't find what you're looking for.

This book gives a very precise meaning to most dream subjects. Very, very good
The Dream Dictionary June 7 2011
By T. Misbach - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback
This is a quick helpful book in many aspects. There many different things you can think of to look up that this book will hold. The introduction at the beginning of this book is extremely insightful and helpful.
This book is not entirely deep, it's definitions are on the surface. When wring definitions of dreams it always relates events to your personal feelings. There is usually only one definition for one dream. This book didn't lack much, however, it did need an index which it did not have.

Fantastic insight! I highly recommend this book.

insightful interpretation of your unconscious mind versus ridiculous "predicting-the-future"-type dream books May 5 2013
By Melissa Harshbarger - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
This book focuses primarily on helping you decipher what's possibly going on in your unconscious thoughts - whether they are reactionary to recent/past events, anxiety about upcoming events, or reflecting your attitude/approach to things - and offering some insight to how those attitudes/reactions/fears/etc impact your waking life, particularly how we make life decisions. This information is much more helpful - bordering self-help - to me than silly dream books that tell you dreaming of teeth falling out means death (not true)..
