Good but Confusing,
By A Customer
This review is from: The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage (Hardcover)
I read this book with great interest as I am always looking for better health. What confused me about the book is the following: if I followed all the regimens discussed in this book, it appears that I would be taking more pills than I care to....in addition to the vitamins I take. And will one of these pills (nutrients) offset another one....in other words, could they be counter-productive. He also suggests using a sugar substitute which, by all accounts, is a toxin. Why would he suggest that you use Splenda or Aspartame if it has been found to be a cancer-causing agent? Because of this alone, I become suspect of other suggestions. He makes certain protocols seem so easy, but yet you would have to keep on top of the effects of these protocols every week or so to make sure they are working. It just seems way too complicated....maybe I am not willing to be on top of my game in the neurotransmitter arena.

The Edge Effect,
This review is from: The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage (Paperback)
The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain AdvantageAn amazing resource to read through at least twice so you ensure you've caught and retained the valuable information. I was having difficulty sleeping and just one nugget of information in this document turned it around based upon having completed the profile surveys(2x). I had not dreamed let alone dreamed vividly for years since a change in health occurred (in 1997). Within two weeks of adding an inexpensive herbal supplement called out to make up for a deficiency highlighted in my survey results, I was having peaceful, vivid dreams again. I feel and look rested for the first time in over a decade. Yes, I could have taken prescription medications as many do today, but I fully understand there are benefits AND side effects; some of which are highly undesirable and unpleasant. Give it a read and if you're highly interested in your bodily mapping, purposes, and functions then you should not be disappointed with this material. Thank Dr. Braveman for this and your other great resources!!

Nourishing the brain to get the best results.,

This review is from: The Edge Effect: Achieve Total Health and Longevity with the Balanced Brain Advantage (Hardcover)
I saw Dr. Braveman being interviewed on TV and decided to buy his book. I was not disappointed. Dr. Braverman explains how to get the most out of your brain from a neurological/nutritional perspective. His information about "Brain balance" is excellent and should be a welcome addition to your bookshelf if you seek understanding about brain function and its impact on your life.I recommend Optimal Thinking: How To Be Your Best Self to be read along with this great book to discover how to achieve emotional mastery, be your best and achieve the best results in all circumstances.
