Colette Baron-Reid delivers again with these unbelievably great cards!Full of colour, amazing artwork and a style of accompanied writing that is easy to follow and chalked full of endless wisdom. I would recommend these cards to anyone, whether you are new to oracle cards or have been using them for years. A+++...

I seem to always be the first to review this author's stuff, maybe because I am such a big fan. Anyway my cards came early! I had a couple hours to try them out and they are gorgeous! Spookily accurate ,although this deck seems a bit more complicated and really pushes you to think about the answers to your question. The cards are loosely based on her book The Map with the cards centering around the idea of movement and places, things in an enchanted environment that one could experience in a metaphoric way that reflect your state of mind and overall experience of life. This is not a simple deck and the explanations make you really go deep. I don't think this deck is for beginners although the simple statements on the descriptions in the guide book are kind of enough to give you the general idea of the message. I like the fact the cards are read upright and reversed giving a nudge back on the path if you get a reversed card. The artwork on the cards is absolutely stunning. I think this is the most beautiful whimsical oracle deck i have ever seen.I tried 4 readings and all of 'em were totally accurate - even one i didn't like hahaha. i am going to order 10 of these as Christmas presents. For sure. thought I would edit this now that its 6 months later. As whimsical as I thought these cards appeared to be at first , now that I have been using them daily and with some of my friends and colleagues I am amazed at how much depth they have. I recently got an email with a video interview with Ms Barron-Reid about a coaching institute she launched in January and she is actually certifying life coaches, therapists etc. in the process she first introduced in her book -The Map as well as teaching this deck as a means to access deeper information in a coach- client interactive dialog. It's a powerful evolution of her work to teach others to be empowered successful aware individuals. I am going to apply next year since I am in another coach course that this will enhance. I found these cards to be beautiful beyond words. Each card is a little work of art. I was so smitten with them I immediately Googled the artist and shared with her my joy with her work! As a graphic designer myself, the attention to detail took my breath.Now, on to the messages from the cards! I have Colette Baron-Reid's other decks and have found them to be a powerful system. They can be used alone or in conjunction with each other. They are SUPPOSED to have a similar mood and feel (another reviewer complained about this), as they were designed to be used together. If one wishes to, they can combine all three decks and get an even more magical reading. Personally, I pull the cards that have just the one word on them from The Wisdom of Avalon deck and use them as a word-of-the-day. Back to this deck...The Map is an archetypal system of working through issues in your lie, of self-discovery. These cards are the same...archetypal cards that will help you more easily navigate life's challenges. If you enjoy using oracle cards or the Tarot this beautifully done deck should please you and provide you with the tool you need for in-depth, meaningful readings for yourself and others.
