Review

"The Facebook Guide for People Over 50 is a fantastic guide to using Facebook aimed at the older generation. It focuses on helping them create a profile, connect with old friends and relatives, communicate with others, and – of course – maintain their safety and privacy online. So if you know someone thinking about joining, or is still a 'newbie' to the site, then this may make for a great gift this holiday season!" (ThatsNonsense.com)

Review

“Today 750 million people — including 50 million Americans ages 45 to 65 — are on Facebook. Many of them are using the social-networking site to plan family reunions, trace family trees, and share family photos. You can, too. Before you get started, spread the word to Facebook holdouts in your family that the site is for all ages, not just for teens and college students. "That's one of the rumors I try to dispel early," says Paul McFedries, 51, author of The Facebook Guide for People Over 50. "Facebook is just a reflection of things we do in our lives anyway. You chat with people, you share photographs, you talk about your trips. You can do all of those things on Facebook, and in most cases, you can do it all a lot easier."”

Facebook +50 April 12 2013
By Bobby Glenn - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
OK book, but I have found a few errors, and worse, information that is incomplete or just not accurate with my experience with Facebook. Some sections are better than others. I found the beginning and orientation section somewhat incomplete or not accurate.

This gives me information but not enough to work the program without feeling intimidated. I still am looking for a tutor.

A little short from "visual" perspective Dec 8 2013
By Gary Smith - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Well written but falls a little short as a "textbook" for those who need a visual format. A good reference book.
