Book Description

Sept. 1 2007 Far Side
Any shrink worth his leather couch will tell you the only way to conquer your fears is to face them. The problem is that doing so will usually require years of therapy.

Gary Larson humbly presents a better way: the "Scared Silly" Slimline Calendar. Got an irrational fear left over from childhood? Larson has it covered. Monsters under the bed or hiding in the closet? Check. Ghosts outside your bedroom door? Check. Zombie chipmunks? Yep. He'll even help you face those, too.

This format is perfect for those with limited space but an unlimited appetite for scary/silly fun. (And truth be told, the line between scary and silly is generally crossed pretty quickly in the world of "The Far Side,") The wire-bound slimline format is custom cut for narrow spaces. The calendar features twelve full-color cartoon panels.

So bedeck those refrigerators, lockers, and cubicles with this fit-anywhere calendar and cancel those costly visits with your therapist. After all, laughter isn't just the best medicineit's great therapy, too.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Desk Calendar Oct. 15 2007

I Love this calendar. the comics keep you laughing and the layout is good too. Each month starts with a page for the whole month at a glance opposite which is a fully lined page for notes..then each weekly page is broken down into 7 days. With more note space at the bottom. The back of the calendar has pages with sections for monthly notes for 2009, and then 3 pages each with a year at a glance for 2007, 2008, 2009. really nice.....If you need lots of space in a desk calendar but hate the boring usual stuff, this one is for you....

These are always a big hit. I bought one for a coworker and one for myself and other coworkers asked where to get it. Thanks for the expedient delivery and keeping the product undamaged or bent.

In addition to being a handy way to keep track of my life, it occasionally surprises with some real "funnies" just the week I need them. Don't let the term "Desk Calendar" fool you, it's smaller than a spiral school notebook and fits well in a small bag or large purse. Can't wait to see what 2009 brings!
