5.0 out of 5 stars DK - The Drift King, Jun 30 2007
This review is from: The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift (Full Screen) (DVD)
DK - The Drift King

"The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" is one of the best movies I've ever seen. It contains all of the elements I look for in an interesting movie: action, romance, sacrifice and the war between good and evil.
First of all, I admire the character of Han played by my favorite actor Sung Kang. Lucas Black also delivered a great performance, eventhough everyone expected to see Paul Walker star in this part as well.
The concept which caught my attention the most, was the way director Justin Lin presented the skill of drifting.
Excellent performance of main characters was guided by a real life Drift Kings: Keiichi Tsuchiva and Rhys Millen (lead stunt drivers).
The movie also focused on every day cultural life of Japanese people. I was amazed by the way teenangers dress and spend their time in Tokyo. The use of new technology, driving amazing vehicles has tromendous impact on how youth carries on with their lives these days.
It was a pure pleasure to watch how Sean acquires a skill of drifting and becomes a new DK of the Japenese underworld.
Dangerous ways of living mixed with the glory of power and great music kept my attention allert at all times.
This movie also made me realize that some people in the world always live on the edge of survival being aware that their life may come to an end at any given time. I came to conclusion, that we alone hold the responsibility for decisions we make every day. Therefore, it may be a good idea to reflect on Han's words "who you chose to have around you lets you know who you are". I recommend this movie for everyone to see.
