It is a great cook book for the person who isn't fond of following recipes or you are looking to finish off that one ingredient that you have in your fridge. It give you great ideas on how to use specific flavors to make dishes instead of just how to make dishes.

Oh what a wonderful book. It's a complete guide to what goes with what. Ideal for the novice yet experimental home cook but also full of great ideas for a seasoned chef. This simple guide to pairings to create a menu that is both delicious and delightfully original. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who can cook without following a recipe or to a busy cook who needs to throw together a meal with just the contents of her fridge and cupboard. Overall a great read too with a comedic flair!

This is a reference book, not a novel, so keep it handy. Gifted one to my chef son in law, and he loves it!
