"Weird Al" Yankovic's THE FOOD ALBUM isn't so much a new album as just a compilation of earlier songs relating to food. It's hilarious, gross, outrageous - true Al.

The album opens with "Fat" (an outrageous spoof of Michael Jackson's "Bad), then goes on to "Lasagna" (spoof of "La Bamba") - which is pretty funny, as Al sings about the value of Italian food. There's also "The White Stuff" detailing the joy of cookie filling, "The Rye or the Kaiser (Theme from Rocky XIII)" telling what happened after the last one, and tons of other hilarious songs. Of course, there's also "Eat It" (another Jackson spoof - "Beat It"), which is very funny as well.

What can I say? "Weird Al" is a comedic genius and never fails to make me laugh. "The Food Album" is perfect for beginning Al fans, but die-hard fans will no doubt already have most of the songs.

Weird Al decided to make 2 "cheesy compilations," about his two major subjects: TV and food. The next one should be about tormented love like One More Minute or You Don't Love Me Anymore. The food one is very funny, although I had heard all of them already.
1. Fat 10/10 Hilarious parody of Michael Jackson's "Bad." From "Even Worse."
2. Lasagna 4/10 Not his best, but it has it's moments. Parody of "La Bamba." From "Even Worse."
3. Addicted to Spuds 8/10 Funny parody of "Addicted to Love." From "Polka Party."
4. I Love Rocky Road 9/10 Parody of "I Love Rocky Road." From his self-titled debut al-bum.
5. Spam 6/10 Funny parody of "Stand." From the UHF al-bum.
6. Eat It 8/10 The parody of "Beat It" that made him famous. From "In 3-D."
7. The White Stuff 8/10 Parody of "The Right Stuff." From "Off the Deep End."
8. My Bologna 10/10 HILARIOUS parody of "My Sharona." From his self-titled debut al-bum.
9. Taco Grande 9/10 Excruciatingly funny parody of "Rico Suave." From "Off the Deep End."
10. Theme from Rocky XIII (The Rye or the Kaiser) 10/10 Perfect parody of "Eye of the Tiger." From "In 3-D."

The only thing missing is "Grapefruit diet," yet it's from a later al-bum, "Running With Scissors."

There are some music artists out there who know what they're doing, and there are some who don't. Al is right in between them.
