From Library Journal
A dramatization of the first part of a trilogy by romance novelist Chester, this story might best be described as The Jungle Book meets Star Wars. Its protagonist is a warm, furry feline who gradually learns the cruel extent to which the reptilian Viis rulers oppress her race. Although the recording lasts only three hours, the story unfolds so slowly that one almost welcomes the periodic blasts of loud music. However, those who do stay alert will not be rewarded, for the story ends just as it starts to get interesting. One may well skip this part altogether and wait for the second and third installments. Recommended only for libraries whose patrons prefer movies to books.AR. Kent Rasmussen, Thousand Oaks, CA

Book Description
Here is an epic set in a far distant universe--a tale of faraway planets and of races strange and more fantastic than any ever seen on our world. Yet their struggles are universal: for justice, for freedom, for peace. This is a sweeping adventure that will transport you to another time, and another place where a legend is about to be born. Fully dramatized with sound effects and original music, this is the first in a three-part epic from the creators of "Star Wars" . 2 cassettes. .

From AudioFile
The first in a series of Star Wars-ish sagas dramatized for audio by TomVoegeli, one of the nation's finest audio producers, and his crew. No surprises here. One hears the usual melodrama, mediocre writing, sci-fi conceits, high-energy performances, and superb sound and sharp editing of other HighBridge/Voegeli titles in this genre. Y.R.
