If you really can't spend 6 ,months in England touring gardens then THIS IS THE DVD Collection for you ! The gardens are gorgeous and they NAME species. I actually was taking notes and rewinding to see or catch a plant's name ! Altho' molst won't grow in our zone 5 it is still interesting to learn about other plants. The 6 DVD set in this collection is well worth the $ invested. I guarantee you will want to watch this series more than once. Our Garden Club bought it for the OWEN SOUND, ON LIBRARY Garden DVD series: so that others could enjoy it. I was Lucky enough to get to watch it before we donated it. One thing I loved about it is IT IS GARDEN TOUR DVDs not 'how to' so you FLOAT through some of the most beautiful gardens in England ! (no lessons just oooohs and aaaaahhhs)

This is a very good DVD if you like the subject matter. However, please beware that this collection is a re-compilation of two sets still offered for sale on AMAZON. This set contains the 4 disks from "Great Gardens of England - Gardener's View" and the two disks of "Gardens of the National Trust". I returned this set since I already had the other two.

This was a requested Christmas gift to my wife. As a Master Gardener, landscape designer and horticulturist, I knew I couldn't go wrong with this as a gift. I was stationed in England many years ago, and as we have watched these videos, both my wife and I have enjoyed them. Very well done. Photography and narration.
