Believe it or not, he's walking on air! William Katt is back as reluctant flying crime fighter Ralph Hinkley, who would know exactly how to use the red superpower suit given to him by aliens if he hadn't lost its instruction manual. In this season, Ralph pitches in the World Series, prevents World War III, suffers amnesia, joins the circus, battles bad bikers, voodoo vengeance, a fast-food mascot and much more, all with the help of his attorney girlfriend Pam Davidson (Connie Selleca) and FBI agent Bill Maxwell (Robert Culp). Who could it be? Believe it or not, he's THE GREATEST AMERICAN HERO!

This collection features all 22 Second Season episodes with such guest stars as Markie Post, Joe Mantegna, Barbara Hale, Keenan Wynn, Dixie Carter, Don Drysdale and more, plus all-new Extras that include revealing and fun career-retrospective interviews with creator Stephen J. Cannell and music composer Mike Post.

I am sad to say that whoever was responsible for removing the GREAT cover tunes has just ruined the DVD experience for me. I would have gladly paid more to keep the entire show intact. I did watch the interviews and some of the episodes, but the show does not feel the same to me anymore...

I feel that Anchor Bay and other companies should put a label on the box letting them know that the music has been changed. The sound effects have been changed too... Roseita Rose is a prime example here.

After Ralph Flies Lenny to one of the ledges of Techotron, he flies up one more to question the guy. We hear a big thump as he landed higher up! Anther scene is where Ralph throws open the door and the silencer sound was clearly added in to cover up the original sound that was there before.

I am going to stick with my old cassettes until a company can come out with the show as it was originally... Makes me sad that the shw was hacked all because of royalties. I can now call my childhood memories dead...

3.0 out of 5 stars Where has the music gone? Shame on You. Jan 3 2007
Format:DVD
I have just started watching the second season, and realized that the orignal music is indeed missing.

The episode title "Operation: Spoilsport" which played the song Eve Of Destruction ( well it was supposed to anyway ) but it didn't. I had no sooner told my son that they would be playing this song, but instead it was some unknown piece of trash. My next thought was that I must have been mistaken about this episode, but then Ralph told Bill that his radio just played Eve of Destruction.

If I had realized that the music had been altered, I am not sure I would have bought the series. I have not bought a few shows were the music has been altered, such as "Tour of Duty".

They should have to put a label on the DVD's when they have altered the music, imagine buying a musical like the Wizard of Ozz, or Saturday Night Fever etc., and finding out they have changed the music.

So this set gets a 3 instead of the 5 it deserved. Oh, and the next time I see one of those commercials telling us how bad it is to download Movies and Music, my opinion will be too bad. If your going to rip us off with removing music and double sided DVD's, don't going looking for sympathy.
