Love It!,
This review is from: The Ground Cries Out (Audio CD)
This is a great album! First off it has the usual great voice, meaningful lyrics and strong arrangements you would expect from Jeff Martin. The album is a great mix of big Tea-Party-Like, world music infused tracks and twangy, blue grass tunes. In my opinion, the best part about this album is the variety of sounds from song to song. Each track has a unique sound but they all work together to make a phenomenal record. Two thumbs to Jeff, Jay and Malcolm.

Jeff is back!,
This review is from: The Ground Cries Out (Audio CD)
Jeff Martin is back and in a big way with his new band "Jeff Martin 777". If you were a fan of the Tea Party then this album is for you. If you have never heard of the Tea Party and want a great bluesy rock album that is different from the recycled rock out nowdays then this is your chance. Give it a listen and you won't be disappointed. The album is generally a rock album with a nice bluesy feel to hit. The song arrangements are incredible(as per usual with Jeff), and the riffs he creates still hook you in. There is also his typical middle eastern influences in the music but not to the extreme that he has done before. The middle eastern sounds go perfectly with the songs and are a nice blend. The lyrics are deep and meaningful as well. The title track and the first song on the record "The Ground Cries Out" gets you prepared for the rest of the record. It's got a very catchy riff and bridge that will be stuck in your head before you realize it. And that's a good thing. I could go on and on about every song but I won't. Bottom line is it's a very sexy, rock/blues laden album that is different from almost all of the recycled rock that is permeating the airways today. If you want something different and a true treat for the senses, I implore you to pick this album up!! You will not be disappointed.
