The season could definitely done without all the swearing, or the rival guild. The whole plot involving the "Axis of Anarchy" (aka 90% of the season's content) plays like Wil Wheaton's public persona: overblown and full of itself (like a younger William Shatner [the sad part being that Wheaton might take that as a compliment]).
There's a certain revelation at the end of the season which, if you consider the actions of a certain character during the second season, is highly unamusing. (Let me give you a hint: it's several steps below locking kids in a dog cage on the scum scale.)
As for the bonus features: They may have graced the season with a 4-star status if not for the continued issue with consistency of volume, the fact that one feature with pop-ups has writing so small that you can't make it out at times, and the fact that the credits are still cut off to the right, making me wonder if anything else is missing (the full animation plays in a frame when the DVD loads, so I know it's not simply made that way...).
