Product Description

The Hammer has TV and radio funnyman Adam Carolla stepping into the ring for a hilariously entertaining sports comedy. Carolla, a real-life former Golden Gloves slugger, plays Jerry "The Hammer" Ferro, a 40-year-old boxing washout turned construction worker. When a top trainer spots Jerry's still-lethal left hook, he gets a surprise shot at glory in the U.S. Olympic trials. But will his attitude get him thrown off the team? The Hammer co-stars Heather Juergensen and Constance Zimmer.

5.0 out of 5 stars Independent movie that you will not regret seeing, July 10 2008

The previous reviews are accurate. I would just like to add that I have been waiting to see this movie since Adam first brought it up on his radio show. That type of anticipation usually leads to disappointment. I was pleasantly surprised that it not only met my exceedingly high expectations, but I was blown away by the production quality and the writing. It is a really good story that will leave you smiling and feeling good.

5.0 out of 5 stars WHAT IS GOING ON!?, July 5 2008

How can Hollywood continue to crank out garbage comedies like Benchwarmers, The Comebacks, et al. while a well written, substantial movie like The Hammer gets extremely limited theatre release and makes almost no money? As consumers don't we want quality products?

Let's all put our support and wallet behind those that are producing fantastic indie movies like The Hammer and encourage Hollywood to tighten up their scripts and give us something worth paying our hard earned money to watch.

The Hammer is a great date movie and I'd recommend it for all ages.

A nice, honest, funny, and smart story for adults. If you like underdogs, great dialogue and memorable characters this will be a treat. Movies this good are few and far between.
