4.0 out of 5 stars Rich with symbolism!, Sep 30 1998
By A Customer - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World: A Tale for Children (Library Binding)
This story was rich with symbolism. I had to read it twice to really enjoy the theme. It was based on a drowned man, who personifies a biblical man, names Stephen (book of ACTS.) Other symbols come into play such as roses, wind, and the day Wednesday. Now in order to quench your thirst, you should fully understand the symbolism of the day Wednesday prior to reading this story. But overall, I really enjoyed it so much. I will go back to this piece, time and time again.
