"This novel will appeal to those who like hockey. However, it will also appeal to those who enjoy a good story.” --- Resource Link
Tom Earle’s background as a player serves him well as he tells this page-turner of a story where the action both on and off the ice is described very well. His descriptions of plays are impeccable; they’re vivid and gripping, and you feel like you’re in the middle of them. Earle conveys the high level of skill that professional players employ, and the moves and strategies they’re capable of putting into action. After reading “The Hat Trick” I had a new respect for the game. . . . The Hat Trick” has strong character appeal, and readers get to know Ricky very well as a person worth caring about. In fact, well-drawn characters, and a realistic, action-driven plot will have even reluctant readers hooked from the first page. I recommend this book highly. --The Western Star
