Why is this great book out of print? Sept. 2 2004
By JoJo - Published on
This book is about Beebo his friend Mop and the hamster Hector.

The illustrations are wonderful and Beepo is an inventor who does not want to work in the Paris underground. He inherits a house and they all work night and day to restore it.

When it is finished two men tell them they have to leave as the government want to build a block of flats in its place.

They try to battle by scaring the workers away but this fails and they end up climbing into space.

This is one of my favourite books from my childhood and now my young children love it also despite it very travelled and tatty state!

I whole heartedly agree with the previous reviewer about the merits of this title, but no longer have a copy of the book to share. It's marvellous & really should be available once again.

Possibly the best childrens book ever Nov. 23 2007
By Michael John Spencer - Published on
WOW - what a fantastic book this was. Amazing story and illustrations.

And it looks at development and over crowding of population - a topic hotter now than ever before, so very relevant to both children and adults.

I highly recommend this book. It should definately be brought back into print.

These Beebo books are just wonderful. I spent hours poring over the amazing illustrations as a child and I would love to be able to buy the books for my own children. Bring Back Beebo!
