I first became aware of Georges Delerue's score to this film from a compilation CD called "Great Composer Series" from Varese Saraband that had the main title track on it. I became quite interested because it was so dark and tense. Then when this CD became available, I ordered it immediately and it's a very good one. I can't compare the score to the movie yet because I haven't yet seen the movie. Delerue's score is a very tense score with a theme consisting of a low hum of bass strings with wood wind instruments humming low notes over it, which indicates the seriousness of the story. There are lighter cues on this CD but for the most part, I'd say it's one of Delerue's more serious scores, definately unlike his romantic or adventurous scores, it's pure dramatic music. Fans of Georges Delerue should get this CD, and get it while you can, it's only been released in a limited quantity. Those who didn't like the movie might enjoy this CD to, but I'll leave it up to you.
