Beautiful Music!,

I love listening to Middle Eastern music - especially for bellydancing. I picked this CD up at a store at the recommendation of the store clerk. This isn't what I had expected but I love this CD! The beat is slower and more relaxing than most of the others I've listened to. I even play it at work as background music. The singers have great voices and although I don't understand the language, the emotion in the music speaks to my soul. I really want to buy his other CDs and am on the search...

I fell in love with Idan Raichel's music after using the song Bo'ee for a group dance routine. I purchased the CD and couldn't have been more pleased!! He masterfully synthesises the old and new, creating a perfect blend between Israelli vocals, Middle Eastern and African influence, and a modern groove. The result is a unique compilation of hypnotizing melodies that transport the listener to a world of ethnic harmony. The themes of understnading, peace, and love transcend the Hebrew lyrics for all listeners to appreciate. This CD has been playing non-stop since it arrived- highly recommended!!!

I woke up on Saturday morning with an urge to explore Middle Eastern music. I picked up this CD not knowing anything about this artist or this type of music. There was a little blog about Idan and that is what made me curious about his musical creations. I think this CD is fantastic. It took me into a spiritual journey and it made me feel very relaxed and moved. I made a great choice and will buy more of his musical projects in future. Track number one is my favourite.
