Product Description

Nominated for Best New Book at the "Manitoba Book Awards"! The Imagination Manifesto Book Two is a graphic (as in bloody) novel about robots, superheroes, monsters, and cowboys that decide our future will be dark, beautiful, and illusive. Writer/Artist GMB Chomichuk mashes the poetry of John Toone and the screenplay of James Rewucki into this literary experiment where mind-altering agents and the unimaginable define the cosmopolitan as something scary.

5.0 out of 5 stars Well worth it., May 27 2010

GMB Chomichuk has used his philosopher's stone to turn graphic novels into gold.

I picked my copy up at the 2009 Central Canada Comic Convention, and it was the best buy I made all weekend. He even personalized my copy with a picture of Cthulhu!

All the artwork is stunning, and the writing is even better. Each story has a distinct voice and style, making for a very enjoyable read. What I love most about this book is how he approaches each idea with a fresh perspective- my favourite is the inner dialogue of Dynasty, in the Tomorrow Society. Where there would typically be oversized sound effects, she calmly explains the situation, while battling giant lizard-men. It's great.

Anyway, I'm very happy with my copy of the Imagination Manifesto. I think I'll go read it again now :)

5.0 out of 5 stars Unbelievable!, May 25 2010

Wow! At first I had figured that this would be very similar to Bluewater's other books, but how wrong I was!! Manifesto is miles above them!

With super dark and gritty art, G.M.B. Chomichuk shows what a graphic novel can truly be! And if you're a fan of Neil Gaiman, the book has recently been likened to his work.

I was thinking about which story (there are four separate stories, but the themes remain connected) would be my favourite, but I honestly cannot give you a definitive answer.

If you consider yourself to be a fan of Time Travel, Giant Monsters and Occult Warfare, a Delusional Hobo, all threaded together through real human moments, do yourself a favour and pick up The Imagination Manifesto!
