4.0 out of 5 stars Perhaps a different title May 10 2012
By Ken Zufall - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Title gives away too much, ruins any real potential for surprise other than the why. That said, enjoyed the story. Not entirely sure if there was a problem with the criminal's characterization or if it's just me but there was something that felt off (not discussing to avoid the one spoiler possible due to the story's title). There were a few lines that rung false to my ear, but not so much that it kept me from searching for more work by Jordan Summers. Was temporarily dismayed to see all the bodice rippers (not my cup of tea), but finally figured out it was a different author. Also downloaded "The Last Pirate", look forward to reading it. And while I like free (who doesn't), would have willingly paid the $.99 for it based on "Time Criminal."

4.0 out of 5 stars Do I Want More or Not? June 7 2012
By E. L. Sapp - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
When I first finished this short story, I did a small rant because I wanted to know what the criminal meant when he gave his explanation for the crime. Then I stopped and wondered if the story is actually better by requiring the reader to come up with their own answer. I finally decided having to come up with my own answer is actually the better way to do it. It got me thinking about what could have happened, and what was done to stop it.

Well worth the read. (I am only giving 4 stars because, even through I like the way the motive is handled, I still want to know the answer!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Well-written but change the title please May 12 2012

This is a very short story but it's well-written. Unfortunately the one bit of possible suspense is ruined by the title. I agree fully with the reviewer who suggested a title change. As it stands it's an interesting story but the mystery that should hold the reader's attention is just not there.
