I've really enjoyed this movie. It's funny and enjoyable inspite of some negative reviews. Don't be critical but just take it for what it is. It reminds me of my Faith journey with the Divine. Just trust the one leading, in this case Steve (Michael Douglas). It may be very scary and non-sensical, but you'll be much better off if you will just trust, surrender, relax, cooperate and "smell the roses" on the way as Steve would say. Jerry (Albert Brooks) is very nervous about an adventure he did not ask for. But Steve just loves the guy and takes him on a wild and crazy adventure. In the end the two families ended up much happier and secure with millions and millions of dollars. I highly recommend this movie!

An utter failure
It's hard to understand what the filmmakers hoped to accomplish with this film. It pales in comparison with the Peter Falk/Alan Arkin orginal. That film is still fresh and funny.
