Book Description

Nov 24 2009 Elder Scrolls
Four decades after the Oblivion Crisis, Tamriel is threatened anew by an ancient and all-consuming evil. It is Umbriel, a floating city that casts a terrifying shadow–for wherever it falls, people die and rise again.

And it is in Umbriel’s shadow that a great adventure begins, and a group of unlikely heroes meet. A legendary prince with a secret. A spy on the trail of a vast conspiracy. A mage obsessed with his desire for revenge. And Annaig, a young girl in whose hands the fate of Tamriel may rest . . . .

Based on the award-winning The Elder Scrolls, The Infernal City is the first of two exhilarating novels following events that continue the story from The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion, named 2006 Game of the Year.

3.0 out of 5 stars The Infernal City: An Elder Scrolls Novel Jan 31 2012
Format:Paperback
In order to understand fully the book, the reader must be familiar with the following fantasy Bethesda Softworks PC: Morrowind, Oblivion and optional Skyrim; Many names of place are from the map of Cyrodiil (Morrowind) where there was a flying city at Vevec. In addition the oblivion gates used in the book comme from Oblivion. There are also many reference to cities like Xvatch, Leyawinn (Oblivion). The reader not familiar with the story of Morrowind and Oblivion will miss a lot of virtual geographic names and reference.

As a reader and a Fantasy writer (next book The tower from nowherer, in French »La tour sortie de nulle part» I enjoyed the reading.
